Review of "EPIC Elvis Presley in Concert" by Jeff Schrembs All Rights Reserved 2025

From the maker of the recent Elvis Presley movie comes this "film".

In my 7 decades of being an Elvis Presley fan, historian, collector, expert, and author, there isn't much I haven't seen firsthand concerning Elvis. And, unlike others, I state the truth about Elvis, including his shortcomings, trials, tribulations, etc. However, Elvis's great talents and humanity far outweigh anything else.

While the recent Elvis movie contained many inaccuracies and at times felt plastic, this film claims to be the greatest experience of Elvis live in concert. I disagree. For those who never watched Elvis perform live, and/or didn't live during Elvis' career (whole or in part), this film may have its moments, but then again, any video/movie of Elvis would have, and without all the telling fanfare.

Watching Elvis Thats The Way It Is, filmed Elvis in Las Vegas for his concerts in 1970, is the greatest film about Elvis in concert, followed by Elvis On Tour and then Elvis Aloha From Hawaii. These three films showcase that Elvis, as I said to Billboard in 1977 when Elvis died, is - was - and forever will be the greatest entertainer who ever lived.

Specifically, Elvis' beloved cousin and his wife, Billy and Jo Smith, weren't contacted, and this is a TRAVESTY. The Smiths are witnesses to Elvis' life onstage and off throughout Elvis' career. Billy and Jo lived at Graceland, and Billy was the last person to hear Elvis sing as after they played racquetball on August 16, 1977, Elvis sat down at his piano and played "blue eyes crying in the rain". Elvis loved them and they loved Elvis and Billy and Jo, as we all are, are getting up and years and I believe  every effort should be made to include them in any Elvis endeavor. Elvis would be upset with this, and he would have let the world know. It pains me greatly.
